Steps to Download eAadhaar

  1. Visit the official UIDAI website.
  2. Go to the My Aadhaar section and click on Download Aadhaar, or directly open the Download Aadhaar page.
  3. Enter any one of the following details:
    • 12 Digit Aadhaar Number (UID)
    • 28 Digit Enrollment ID Number (EID)
    • 16 Digit Virtual ID Number (VID)
    • 28 Digit Service ID Number (SID)
  4. Enter the captcha code shown on the screen.
  5. Click on Send OTP. An OTP will be sent to registered mobile number.
  6. Enter the OTP received on mobile and click Verify & Download.
  7. eAadhaar PDF file will be downloaded to device.

How to Open eAadhaar PDF

The downloaded eAadhaar file is password-protected. The password is a combination of the first 4 characters of name in CAPITAL letters and year of birth (YYYY).

Examples :

  • if name is ROHIT SHARMA and year of birth is 1998, password will be ROHI1998.
  • if name is R. SINGH and year of birth is 1995, password will be R.SI1995.
  • if name is AMY and year of birth is 2000, password will be AMY2000.
  • if name is RIA KUMARI and year of birth is 2002, password will be RIAK2002.
